“All our thoughts and prayers are with Tank at this time…” It’s tough to see him go down like this. “He played a great game… and we want to keep him in our thoughts and prayers right now,” Lyons said. Stroud, who had difficulty speaking at first, thanked his teammates for their support during a difficult time on the field. “All you can do is pray, really…” “It’s not easy, but I try to use it as motivation,” he said. “It’s not easy to just let go, especially when it’s your best friend. It’s not easy to carry on and keep playing, but I try to do my best. My teammates helped me… so I’m grateful to them for talking to me. I’m grateful they were there for me because I went through the same thing.” Dell’s left leg was placed in a vacuum brace to prevent severe instability and possible fractures from his hip to his foot. The team immediately diagnosed him with a knee injury. Dell’s teammates, including Stroud, prayed and cried for him, and were emotional at the scene as he was loaded into an ambulance. Houston has already won the AFC South, so they are firmly in the top four of the AFC playoff standings. The Texans could also lose their final two games, but they won’t fall below fourth place.
