New video shows remains of Titan submersible on sea floor

Footage released by the US Coast Guard shows the tail cone of the Titan submersible, which imploded killing all five inside, on the sea floor.

The deep-sea vessel was less than two hours into its descent towards the wreck of the Titanic when it imploded in June 2023.

Earlier this week, a hearing revealed that one of the final messages from the five-person crew before they lost contact with the Titan’s mother ship for good was “all good here”.

The Marine Board of Investigation for the U.S. Coast Guard’s two-week hearing into the incident began on Monday, 15 months after the OceanGate vessel catastrophically imploded during its deep-sea voyage, killing all five people aboard.
